Core advantages
  • Unique atmosphere

Since its establishment in 1889, Institut auf dem Rosenberg has created a diverse and multilingual learning environment for students. With only 300 students from across the world, Institut auf dem Rosenberg offers a warm and unique learning atmosphere.

With an average class size of eight students, a vast team of educational professionals ensures that the teaching style at one of the best international boarding schools in Switzerland is focused on the individual, not the average.

  • Diversity in academic choices

Rosenberg's academic variety is one of the big distinguishing factors to other Swiss international boarding schools: Students can choose between five different national academic systems - namely Swiss, German, Italian, US and UK systems - enabling each of the students to find the most suitable learning programme to prepare him or her for higher education.

  • Remarkable students' family background

Institut auf dem Rosenberg's former students include leaders in the fields of international politics, science and global business, as well as members of royal families and imperial dynasties. Today, the majority of the students at Institut auf dem Rosenberg has an entrepreneurial family background. This means that many students are being prepared to lead companies and to manage their family fortunes in the future. Leadership, creative problem solving and above all perseverance are the qualities they are being taught to succeed in their future roles.

Curriculum system

Institut auf dem Rosenberg teaches two of its academic programmes in English (British GCE A Levels, US High School Diploma and AP Examinations), two programmes in German (German Abitur, Swiss Matura) and one in Italian (Italian Esame di Stato).

Parallel to the above, Institut auf dem Rosenberg also offers intensive language courses and support as well as language certificates such as Cambridge, DELF, PLIDA, Goethe, etc.
