Philippe Kretz

Executive Director of the Board & Founding Partner, Swiss China Corporation

As co-founder of the Swiss China Corporation, Philippe presents a comprehensive career in International Finance and Private Wealth Management. In 2009, he established his own Wealth Management company in Geneva, eventually expanding his operations to Hong Kong. Prior to this, Philippe held senior roles in Private Wealth Management with Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Julius Baer in Switzerland and in Singapore.

With a Master's degree in Finance and Management from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, his early career started at Goldman Sachs in London with the Fixed Income Desk servicing major Swiss financial institutions. Philippe is a CFA and a CMT charterholder.

Philippe is an internationally experienced finance strategist. His professional global exposure has provided him with a deep understanding and appreciation for the diversity of cultures and business environments that make up today’s global business landscape. Having lived and worked in key cities such as London, Paris, Geneva, New York and Singapore has given him the flexibility and the ability to adapt to meet the SCC's varied undertakings and mandates.

A competitive sportsman since his youth, he excelled at state level in Judo and soccer, then later to Triathlon and Ironman where he qualified for Ironman 70.3 World Championship in 2016 and 2017. He is also an avid chess player. Philippe has been living in Hong Kong with his wife and 3 children, with his kids being fluent in French, English and Mandarin.
